will be added to my life hacks list
umm, I hope this is useful to some of my followers
Food can be addicting. Many foods have added ingredients that MAKE you want them. You can beat your cravings and just like any addiction it takes time and effort.
Cravings also have a meaning, when out body is lacking minerals or other vitamins and it can trigger cravings in an attempt to get that source. For example, when your body is low in calcium you might grave carbonation. Many sources of carbonation (like soda) draw calcium from our bones. When your body is telling you drink soda. It’s trying to get the calcium from your bones. Which is not good! Your bones need calcium. So understanding food sources of calcium can help you overcome a sofa craving. Works the same for other cravings too!
When a craving strikes tell yourself “you don’t want icecream” not “I can’t have icecream” when you say I can’t, it sounds negative and you are putting the food in charge. When you say “I don’t want it” you’re in charge.
It will take some getting used too! And it’s not that you can’t ever have icecream again! But it’s best to be in a situation where you are in control of the food and not the other way around.
Can I just cry from the beauty of this?
